Battery, Tire & Fuel Costs in Philadelphia
Some roadside jobs need a part or fuel in addition to the service itself. Easy To Plug charges for the service; the product is a separate cost, and on batteries and tires you buy the part so the price and warranty stay in your name.
Roadside service starts at $85 and up · Mobile tire service starts at $85 and up. The figures below are typical market ranges in the Philadelphia area, not our prices.
Typical Product Cost Ranges
| Product | Typical cost | What drives the price |
|---|---|---|
| Fuel | $10 – $20 | Two to five gallons of gas or diesel, enough to get the vehicle running and to a station. |
| Replacement battery | $200 – $400 | Varies by group size, cold-cranking amps, AGM vs flooded, and warranty length. |
| Used tire | $65 – $95 | Per tire. Budget option when tread life and matching size are acceptable. |
| New tire | $150 – $300 | Per tire. Depends on size, load rating, season and brand tier. |
Ranges are estimates for planning only. Retail pricing changes and varies by vehicle.
Where to Buy a Replacement Battery
For mobile battery replacement, the cleanest path is simple: you purchase the battery from a nearby parts store, we come to the vehicle and install it, test the charging system and confirm the car starts and stays running.
Three retailers cover Philadelphia well. Each lets you enter your year, make, model and engine to find the correct group size and confirm local stock before you buy.

How to Find the Right Battery
Start with the group size
Every battery has a BCI group size — 24F, 35, 47/H5, 48/H6, 65 and so on — printed on the case label. That number defines the physical dimensions and terminal layout, so matching it matters more than brand.
Check cold-cranking amps
Cold-cranking amps (CCA) measure starting power in freezing weather. Philadelphia winters make this practical, not theoretical: buy at or above the CCA rating your vehicle specifies, never below it.
AGM versus flooded
Many newer vehicles with start-stop systems, heavy electronics or trunk-mounted batteries require AGM. AGM costs more, typically pushing the total toward the upper end of the $200 to $400 range, and substituting a flooded battery can cause charging faults.
Warranty length is part of the price
A two-year free-replacement battery and a five-year battery often differ by $60 to $100. If the vehicle stays in the family, the longer warranty usually wins.
Tell us what you bought
When you book mobile battery replacement, note the retailer and group size so the technician arrives with the right tools and terminal hardware.
Used Tire or New Tire?
Used tire — $65 to $95 per tire
A sound used tire is the fast, low-cost way off the shoulder when the damaged tire cannot be repaired. It makes sense when the remaining tread is healthy, the size matches the axle and you need the vehicle back today.
New tire — $150 to $300 per tire
A new tire is the better call on all-wheel-drive vehicles where circumference has to match, on low-profile or performance sizes, and any time the other tires still have most of their life left.
When repair beats replacement
A simple tread puncture away from the sidewall can often be plugged or patched on scene, which avoids the tire cost entirely. Sidewall damage, bead damage and run-flat distress cannot be repaired safely.
Fuel Delivery Cost
Fuel delivery is the service price plus the fuel itself, typically $10 to $20 for the two to five gallons needed to start the vehicle and reach a station. Diesel is priced the same way, at cost.
Tell dispatch the fuel type when you book. Putting the wrong fuel in a vehicle is a far more expensive problem than waiting for the right one.
